Covid-19

Rather than the usual schedule of tours, we’re letting you pick the tour and time — subject to availability. Ghost tour in broad daylight? Yes! (though it won’t be as spooky)

Update: Masks are now optional for most tours. The tours are all outdoors, your guide is vaccinated, and the current CDC guidelines say it’s safe to give our faces some fresh air. We’re still keeping the groups small and if you’d still prefer to play it extra-safe, we’re happy to mask up.

Bring a mask in case we run into crowded sidewalks or you need to go inside somewhere. Most buildings downtown will require them. Your guide carries extras.

We’ve reduced our minimum group size to 3 adult tickets / $60 so you don’t need a big group. For couples, that means paying $10 extra per ticket, but you get Laura’s undivided attention and you can ask her anything about Knoxville and its history. She never runs out of fascinating stories!

What we’re doing to keep you safe

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.

Knoxville Walking Tours is offering tours using the safety guidelines provided by the CDC. The latest CDC recomendations are that outdoor activities are safe outside of large crowds.

For now, Knoxville Walking Tours will operate under the following rules:

• Group sizes limited in order to adhere to social distance guidelines

Update: Masks are optional, but bring one in case you need to go inside

• Tours are 100% outdoors

• Maintain safe distancing

By purchasing tickets on our tours, you:

• voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19, and

• agree to abide by the safety guidelines we have formulated with the guidance of the CDC and Knox County Health Department.
